In early 2010, I unexpectedly met Fr Leo Patalinghug at an event where one of his friends was speaking at my parish. Oddly enough, no one else seemed to recognize him, but if you’re at all into Catholic media, this priest is hard to miss. It’s hard to name a place he hasn’t been.
These days Fr Leo is still best known for winning against a big Food Network star in Throwdown with Bobby Flay with his fusion fajitas. He is a true expert in all forms of media, cooking, and many other random talents.
Fr Leo is in our diocese this weekend to host an event for the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Austin and then also to host a family picnic at St William Catholic Church in Round Rock, TX.
Through the food, the media, and the fun, Fr Leo has a true heart for the Gospel and brings a very focused approach to evangelization – bring the family together. I hope you and your family can join the events.
