About Martina
I am a 30-something stay-at-home mom to six kiddos, 4/96 through 6/12. We recently decided to homeschool after many years in the public schools. In my "spare time," I serve as the chair for the Pastoral Council at my home parish of St. William in Round Rock and I help with our Adult Faith Formation program, from the planning committee to facilitating and mentoring incoming facilitators. I also enjoy photography as a hobby and once photographed with Ron Parks back in the day. I enjoy talking about all things Catholic and always look to infuse a little bit of humor whenever possible. You can also catch me writing at www.CatholicSistas.com

Confessions of The Original Online Junkie – Series Debut, part II

As I mentioned in the debut post of this series, my oldest was five years old, enrolled in kindergarten, and not enrolled in religious education. Not my finest parenting moment, of course, but I use it as a launching point to illustrate that you can know exactly nothing and still have some...

7 Things the Secular Media Should Know about the Pope and the Church

I admit I broke from my little “t” tradition of watching reliable news sources such as EWTN when the white smoke appeared. My family dutifully watched it through the lens of EWTN for quite a bit and then eventually rolled over to the secular news stations. Curiosity got the better...
